Howl at the Moon 5K

Last night was the annual Howl at the Moon 5K run that benefits Parks and Recreations for the city of La Vergne.  By far the largest turn out for the city to date the annual event went over smashingly!

Many local residents and those from neighboring cities meet elected city officials who came out for the event.  Thomas Broeker, Fred Gaston, and Evan Cope were all spotted as runners in this years festivities.  Mayor Mosley joined Box 100 in providing volunteer services in regards to traffic management along side our local police, fire and parks & recreation employees.   Vice Mayor Chris Farmer was spotted in his cart providing first aid and emergency services to those in need and Dennis Waldron was even spotted mingling with the crowd.

During the closing ceremonies Mayor Mosley informed the loud and supportive crowd that Robin Grubb would be leaving Parks and Recreations to serve her country full time in the military.  The crowd gave her a standing ovation.

Overall a great night for the city and its residents.  The city is coming back to together slowly one step at a time.
